2010 Iron Chef Competition

Don’t miss the “Stark Reality Battle of the High School Chefs” on Saturday, May 15th beginning at 12 noon in Courthouse Square at the completion of the Luther Burbank Rose Parade in Downtown Santa Rosa. Three schools will compete for a prize package that includes an opportunity to train at a Stark’s restaurant over the summer in a paid internship position.

The student chefs will have a chance to battle it out creating three small plates and utilizing a “secret ingredient”. Each school team has been partnered with a Stark Reality Restaurant chef that has mentored them prior to the competition. Spectators can cheer on their favorite school as they watch the teams from El Molino, Maria Carrillo and Piner High Schools prepare their creations on the spot.

This fun filled event is sponsored by Stark Reality Restaurants and owner/chef Mark Stark will be the emcee with special VIP judges including Mayor Susan Gorin and Bite Club’s Heather Irwin. The Battle of the High School Chefs showcases the talented students in our community and is a natural to follow the 116th annual parade – a Sonoma County tradition with more than 165 entries representing non-profits organizations, businesses, schools and more.
